<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;">On 22nd April 2012 I will be lacing up my best running shoes again and taking to the streets of London to run the famous 26 miles (42 kilometres) to raise money for a very worthy cause. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">My friend works for an amazing charity called Octavia Foundation and they have generously offered me a place to raise them lots of money for a very worthy cause!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;">Their work is intended to increase the strength and effectiveness of community life. This means improving local conditions, especially for people in disadvantaged situations. They want to enable people to take part in public decision-making and help them achieve greater long-term control over their circumstances. </span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;">> Caring for the elderly and vulnerable – funding lunch club and social activities for older people in Kensington and Chelsea, deliver a volunteer befriending scheme to support older and vulnerable people in Westminster </span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;">> Helping with jobs and training – we have helped hundreds of local people to access training and improve their employability in the last couple of years, Future Foundations is our current employment and training programme </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small; color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;">> Advising on money and debt – we fund money and debt advice for tenants and residents and have led on the development of a credit union in Kensington and Chelsea, to be launched later on this year.</span></div>
