Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Myeloma - an incurable blood cancer. I gained the information and support that I needed from Myeloma UK. I have been incredibly lucky so far, as my disease hasn't progressed. However I felt I should mark my 40th Birthday by giving something back.
Therefore please join me in walking a Mile 4 Myeloma. All you have to do is make a contribution via this page or gain some sponsorship. Then come down to Wigan Cricket Club on Saturday 25th February 2012 anytime between 12.30pm and 3.30pm and walk 4 laps of the outfield.
Here's how your donation can make a difference
£2 will ensure one more patient receives a booklet about Myeloma
£12 will fund an information pack for newly diagnosed patients and their families, providing essential information and support.
£75 Will fund a Myeloma Support Group meeting
£100 will run the Myeloma infoline for 1 hour - providing practical information, emotional support and a listening ear to people affected by Myeloma.
£1019 - Will pay for a Myeloma Nurse Specialist for a working week - providing expert information, advice and support to improve the lives of myeloma patients
