Story

On 22 September my friend Tim and I will set off to attempt to climb the tallest mountain in Africa, and one of the highest peaks in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro.

As many of you will know my Mum was diagnosed with tonsil cancer around a year ago and has since had to endure radiotherapy chemotherapy and three operations.

There isn't much you can do for someone who has to undergo cancer treatment, other than to simply be there.

What I can do now though is try to raise as much money as possible for Action Cancer to save lives in the future and support those presently affected by cancer.

To raise money for this worthy cause I have set myself the challenge of trying to conquer one of the highest peaks in the world and I would ask that you dig deep and support me as generously as you can.

Thanks

Steve

PS If you have a donation figure in your head, please add a few quid for the fact I won't get a shower for 8 days, the altitiude sickness thats unavoidable on a mountain this tall, and the fact I have no toilet on the mountain and have to carry sealable bags!
