I have foolishly agreed to go for a dip in the Albert Dock (River Mersey) on Boxing day and I am doing this for a number of reasons.

To support a great family who suffered a massive loss last year when Jean Tinsley was so cruelly taken at such a young age.

Because I know of the great work done by all those who work in Clatterbridge Cancer Hospital, and how the work they do does save lives.

And because Cancer effects every family even my own.

Oh and because I fancied a swim in the Albert Dock on Boxing day!
