The Challenge: Last year I took part in the Palace to Palace 45-mile cycle challenge. Prior to commencing training for this I had done very little cycling, but on the day I felt ready, and completed the route in 3hr 33mins.  

This year I wanted to push myself further and so on Sunday 6th October 2019, I plan to once again take part in the Palace to Palace ride from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle raising money for ‘The Prince's Trust’. However in order to keep this challenging I will cycle the 90-mile route this time, and will do so on my trusty touring bike (no light weight carbon fibre racing bike for me).

The Charity: ‘The Prince's Trust’ is a great charity that helps disadvantaged young people aged 13 to 30 get into jobs, education and training helping them to get that all important foot in the door in becoming a productive member of society. As ‘The Prince’s Trust’ approaches its 40th anniversary it has helped a colossal 825,000 people across the UK. Young people are the future of British society and it is incumbent we nurture them and give them the tools/opportunities to reach their full potential.

I've worked with the Prince's Trust before and seen first hand the good work they do for young adults, and they really do change their lives for the better.
