Thanks for taking the time to visit guys!
My colleagues and I are climbing Goatfell in Arran to raise money for a very worthwhile cause and any dosh you could spare would be greatly appreciated!
The Cause
The charity is called Phunzira, and was co-run by Jonny Harris, a guy I used to pester a lot for After Effects advice at work. They raise money to provide the community of Ruarwe in North Malawia with a completely free educational institution.
We are currently fund-raising for a generator that will provide the institution with power to run a small IT department, which will be available for the kids to access global learning resources.
It's a very exciting cause, any money that is being raised will go directly to the school and the students who attend there, so if you decide to donate, you'll know exactly where and who you will be helping!
For more detailed information please visit the website, where you'll be able to see what they've done with the money they've already raised: http://www.phunzira.co.uk/?p=about
The Walk
On Friday 15th July we are crossing the seas (and most probably bearing the elements as well - it is a Scottish Summer after all) to climb Goatfell. This will be no walk in the park - we sit at computers all day, and I for one have grown a little podgy... And of course we will be doing the whole thing in costume!
Any costume ideas that allow for waterproofs and midge repellant would be greatly appreciated...
How can you help?
As little or as much as you can give would be fantastic! Even if it's a quid (buck) it's all for a good cause! Here's more details:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
