We help fund UMOJA in Tanzania to improve the lives of children & youth

Story

On the 30th of April, I shall be embarking on an epic 4 day journey from Glasgow to Inverness to raise funds for the Umoja Centre in Tanzania - a fantastic project helping underprivileged children gain education, skills and employment.

The plan is to travel, by mountain bike, over the rugged terrain of Scotland's iconic West Highland Way (153km) and then along the Great Glen Way (117km). As if that isn't silly enough, I'll also be stopping off to run up Ben Lomond (3196ft) and Ben Nevis (4409ft).

I have no idea how much it is sensible to try and raise, but your generosity is most appreciated. My friend Vix spent a year working at the Umoja Centre and tells some heartwarming and heartbreaking stories of her time there. The centre provides hope for 14-26 year olds who would otherwise be at great danger of falling into crime, prostitution and abuse, so please give all you can to help this cause.
