This would usually be the bit where folk go into great detail about why they're running for their chosen charity and pull on your heartstrings for a donation. However I'm not going to do that.
My family has gone through the horrible experience of someone being diagnosed with cancer and being treated. We were one of the lucky ones that caught it early enough and didn't need the services that Macmillan offer. However other friends have needed their services.
So instead of looking for a sympathetic donation, I'm going to ask you to sponsor me purely for the amusement of making the fat photographer run 26.2 miles! Its that simple.
In return for your donation, you get to relax at home on a Sunday morning, while I have to pound the streets of Edinburgh and the surrounding area for 4hrs come rain or shine.
I'm not going to lie... its going to be 4hrs of hell! However if I'm going to put myself through that, then I'm going to make sure a great charity benefit from my pain!
