Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Hi everyone. For some bizarre reason, I have agreed to cycle more than 100 miles a day from 10 to 19 of May. That's more than 1,000 miles from Lands End to John o'Groats. Eek! I am hoping it won't turn out like my last fundraising event (see the picture above)!
Rather than pushing myself to the limit over 10 days for nothing, I have decided to use this opportunity to raise funds for two great local charities. Although the donation page only highlights Cycling Projects, I can assure you that all the online donations will be split between both charities.
The first is 'Cycling Projects', which provides adapted bikes and volunteer support to give children and adults with disabilities the chance to experience cycling, get active and have fun with friends and family. The funds will provide adapted bikes and more supported sessions to reach more people. One of it's many projects is based in Preston and reaches people throughout Central .
The second charity is my daughter Hannah's school - Manor Road Primary School in Clayton-Le-Woods. The school is fundraising to buy new equipment for the playground to make the environment more interesting and active for the pupils. As with all Parent / Teacher Associations, they work really hard to raise funds all year and I wanted to do my bit and help to speed up the fundraising efforts.
They are very local and very personal charities to me. I hope this won't put you off digging deep.
If you want a laugh, follow me on Twitter for regular updates.
Thanks so much for your support
