Story

Hi everyone and many thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Team Still Lame (the team name comes from two of the senior participants in last year's event who were christened Jack and Victor!) consist of 5 finely honed athletes from Inverness - Chris Brogan, Roddy Davidson, Emma Junor, Chris Matheson & Euan Matheson - who will be taking part in the 2012 Maggie's Monster Bike & Hike on Saturday 5th May.

The event, a 24hour team challenge, follows the route of the Great Glen Way and is organised to raise funds for Maggie's Cancer Care Centres. We intend to go for gold - cycle 30miles from Fort William to Fort Augustus and then hike 42miles to Inverness.

Each of us in the team, along with our support team (Norma Penwright, Elaine Grant, Heck Mackay and Martyn Ryan) are friends with, or are have loved ones, who have experienced or have been affected by cancer and we feel that this is a good way to show our thanks to the people who care and support those who suffer from cancer. Every £ we raise will make a difference to this very worthwhile charity and help someone during a most traumatic period in their life.

We hope to raise as much as we can for this very worthy cause and would ask you to dig deep and donate as much as you can to help us reach our target of £2500.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
