Story
As part of the fundraising appeal, on February 27th 2010, Addenbrooke’s Transplant Department will host a charity dinner dance in Cambridge quite unlike any other (see website: www.strictlytransplant.co.uk for more information). Inspired by the likes of Mark Ramprakash, Alesha Dixon and Chris Hollins, we decided to hold a dance competition in the “Strictly” style. Our renal physicians have challenged the transplant surgical team to a heated competition and will dance the waltz, tango, cha-cha-cha and salsa with the hope of lighting up the dance floor, providing entertainment for everyone and raising money for this important charity cause.
Please scroll through the picture gallery to see how much fun we're having practising!!!
We very much hope that some of you will be able to attend the event on 27th February but for those of you further afield who would like to make a donation towards our appeal, we would very much appreciate any contributions. Any money raised in excess of the funds required for this appeal will be allocated to where the need is greatest.
Transplantation continues to change lives for the better every day. Please help us to improve our service by supporting this exciting event and celebrating in style the work done by Addenbrooke’s Transplant Department.
