Strutt & Parker - Salisbury Office - Three Peaks Challenge · 21 April 2017
They did it - but it's not too late to donate!
Since Strutt & Parker launched their National Charity Challenge the firm has raised over £175,000 since January 2016. We are continuing to fundraise, which will culminate with the National Three Peaks Challenge between 21-23 April 2017. Tom Eastman and Fred Cook both from the Salisbury Office, plus Beth Barclay, Clare Walsh, Sophie Hutchinson and 2x mad dogs, will be joining the 30+ strong S&P team to take part in the challenge.
The National Three Peaks Challenge will test their mental and physical stamina to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in just 24 hours. This involves climbing around 10,000ft and walking almost 26 miles (not to mention travelling 460 miles between the peaks).
In January 2016, S&P launched their 2016/2017 Charity Challenge, to support Sebastian Coe Charity Foundation, which specifically is fundraising for Cancer Research UK's appeal to fund the Francis Crick Institute (which opened autumn 2016), which is one of the most significant developments in UK bio-medical science for a generation. The Institute cost £650 million to build and Cancer Research UK is one of the funding partners.
More than 1,200 of the world’s best scientists work in the building and their goal is to better understand the basic biology underlying human health, and to find ways to prevent and improve the treatment of the most significant diseases affecting people today, including Cancer, Heart Disease and Alzheimer’s amongst many others.
