Story

Hi all,

I rarely take part in major fundraising events, but this one's special. My good friend Tom Bacon, who is also running the Tough Mudder, has had to go through Cancer, whilst sadly Alistair Adam and David Stage (both of whom I consider family) suffered through and died from it. Having witnessed the devastating effects of Cancer not just on the individuals struck with the disease, but their close family and friends too, reflects how important the support services offered by charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support truly are.

Whilst not all those I know who have been affected by cancer were necessarily supported specifically by Macmillan, to me it matters only that the funds raised will benefit those in need of Cancer support, be that during treatment, recovery or bereavement. I hope you are able to offer some donation - it is not the size that matters, purely the intent.
