<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">As some of you may know I have signed up to do the London marathon in April this year. I have also decided that I want to use this opportunity to raise money and awareness for a cause that is very close to my heart (and I’m sure yours too!). <span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">2011 saw a record number of rhinos poached (443 in South Africa alone!!!) with two sub-species having been declared extinct - the Vietnamese Javan Rhino and the Western Black Rhino<span style="color: #1f497d;">. </span>I’m sure that I’m not alone in saying that t</span>his senseless killing of these beautiful animals is disgraceful and has to be brought to an end before it’s too late! </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">I have chosen Save the Rhino International as my charity - It is a UK based charity that works to conserve populations of critically endangered rhinoceros species in the wild. Their aim is to increase rhino numbers by providing financial and in-kind support for rhino projects and for community-based initiatives across Africa and Asia. </span></span></p>
