<p>Having had my offer to Team GB turned down by Lord Coe, I am running in the much bigger 2012 London Marathon.</p> <p>I am running for First Step which is a charity for pre-school children with special needs. My daughter Amanda worked there last year for work experience and her excitement at how some of the children she spent time with became engaged using the facilities was very powerful. In fact we probably had our longest conversation for the last two years when she was describing the breakthrough they had had with a girl who had responded for the first time to the music therapy.</p> <p>Thanks you for supporting me and First Step, please dig deep.</p>
