St Ann’s Hospice provides care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers in Greater Manchester. Through the generosity of our supporters, all our care is provided free of charge and makes a real difference to those who we support.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After being stuck behind a desk for the last 14 months after a change of career, I had started putting on the pounds. One of my work colleagues, Nick Pendlebury had decided he was going to help out St. Annes Hospice and asked if i'd be willing to participate? So using this as motivation to get a bit fitter in my old age, I've agreed. This Sunday (8th July, 2012) I've given up my time to cycle from Manchester to Blackpool and while that hopefully helps me shed a couple of inches off my waiste, I can also raise some vital funds for Saint Annes.

So if you like to sponsor a short, fat person to cycle the 60 odd miles from Old Trafford to Blackpool Tower please give what ever you can. THANK YOU!
