Story
You can read about Harry's story at www.help4harry.co.uk
7 years ago when our eldest son was born, we were very fortunate to meet a lot of wonderful local people - new parents like us who were having fun enjoying the next stage of our lives. We've stayed in touch since, the dads meeting up occasionaly for a beer and a laugh.
One day last year we heard the terrible news that our friends Tom and Sue's little boy, Harry (5), had been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This unfortunately means that in a few years time, Harry will be in a wheelchair unable to walk.
So a few of the dads have decided to do something to raise awareness and (hopefully) a few quid. But with varying degrees of fitness, dodgy knees, bad backs and goodness knows what else, what could we do ? Another night in the pub was required (obviously) and we've foolishly decided to cycle 100km round the Isle of Wight in September 2014.
Many thanks.
