Story

Thanks for taking the time to look at our JustGiving page.

Stuart's 60th year challenge was to walk the West Highland Way and climb Ben Nevis. Now its done, and what is more is that three others from our group - the Getaway Gourmet Golfers - Paul, Bob and Jeff have done the Way too! We completed the 95 miles in eight days as planned. The weather was kind, particularly for Scotland, with seven of the days dry.

In addition, to date as a group, we have raised over £1500 for the Wales Air Ambulance in memory of Dai Gravell, a former member at Glyn Abbey Golf Club who died after a brain tumor. If you would like to add to the total that would be great as it is going to a good cause.

The Air Ambulance operate 3 helicopters in Wales. A patient's chances of survival and early recovery in cases of severe trauma greatly improve if they receive the right care within the first hour. The air ambulance can be airbourne within 4 minutes and can be  anywhere in Wales in 15 minutes. The charity rely solely on gifts.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks.
