This is my third year raising money for Macmillan but the first where it has a personal meaning to me.  I have always seen the charity as an important part in that time of need when families and loved ones are feeling vulnerable and need a little help,  support & guidance.  On December 13th 2017 I lost my beloved mother in law to Cancer.  We knew about it just one month earlier and were expecting at least 6 months of time with her before the inevitable happened.  Unfortunately this was not to be and in the final days Macmillan came in to help with everything.  I witnessed first hand for the first time just what a caring and professional charity they really are.  Nothing was ever too much bother with support being offered to close family in the weeks after the tragic day.  This year I am raising money by taking part in the following over the coming months

Stafford Half Marathon / Staffordshire Ironman / Abersoch Wales Triathlon / Birmingham Full Marathon & other events currently being organized.  Now I am no spring chicken,  at 45 yrs old this stuff is getting harder but the cause will drive me on to succeed and raise as much money as I can for this amazing charity
