My story

Hello,

My name is Steve and I'll be representing The Student Support Centre (Cheshire) in my first ever 4km charity dash for two very worthy local causes: Hospice Of The Good Shepherd and Countess of Chester Hospital.

When?

Sunday 11th December 2011 at 9:30am

Why?

The money that I raise will help towards the 'REFLECT' Children's Bereavement Service that the Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides free of charge to children from the ages of 3 to 19 years from Chester, rural Cheshire, Deeside and Ellesmere Port. The Hospice relies almost entirely on the generousity of the community so I'm doing my bit to help!

I'm also raising funds for the Countess of Chester Hospital. The Children's Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital is a 26 bedded area and they presently have six chair beds which parents can use to sit by their child's bedside during the daytime and then convert to a bed at night. The funds received from Santa's dash will help them buy more beds! Each bed can cost around £630 and will provide a much more comfortable overnight stay for parents with a sick child.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please give what you can to help me raise the funds for these two very worthy local charities!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you so much for your support!
