A few weeks ago, a very lovely member of our staff, June, asked us if we could organise some fundraising events. In a very cruel twist of fate, June has since been diagnosed with cancer in her liver and bones. She is now too poorly to take part, but we will continue with June's wishes on her behalf, for her chosen charity, Claire House Children's Hospice.

Our first event will be on Friday June 28th 2013. I will be making my way from our office in Birkenhead on the Wirral, to our head office in Chesterfield, Derbyshire - a distance of 86 miles! I will be accompanied by Liz Glassock.

We will be armed only with our wits, charm and fancy manners.

Mark (my other half) and Steve (Liz's husband) will be cycling, but I have no doubt us girls will triumph in spectacular fashion. 

 

The rules for me and Liz are:

·         We must leave the office with no money

·         We cannot travel by car

·         We cannot take money from any person we know

·         We cannot use any of our own funds for travel.

     

      We would welcome any ideas that will help us beat the boys to HQ! I know that times are tough, but we're so determined to do this for Claire House, and for June. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
