Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page! Details for our campaign are below...

Please indicate your interest in the comments with the following:

                a) Yes, I would like to take part in the competition at Aldermanbury on June 8th

                b) No, I'm just giving!

We are running a campaign to raise £5,000 for the charity Save the Children, with a focus on Ethiopia where 80% of the population live on less than $2 a day, malnutrition and lack of education pervade. Save the Children works to establish health centres, schools and aid in the provision of food and establishment of clean water supplies. To support this great cause, we invite you to take part in an exciting challenge of your strategic and financial skills - a speed monopoly tournament, with an Ethiopian twist. We have redesigned the board to include key Ethiopian cities and places instead of familiar London streets and you can improve the cities you purchase by placing schools & hospitals there.. in a time pressured and dynamic 45 minutes!

The tournament has a number of different first rounds, with June 8th the remaining event, with a final to take place in the Livery Pub on June 10th. The person who has managed their money and property portfolio the best and has the highest net worth at the end of the game is the winner.. going forward to a final in the Livery Pub, competing to be crowned the most successful Monopolist!

Each event kicks off at 7 p.m. , please arrive in advance to get settled! Drinks available from 6.30p.m.

We ask that you make a minimum donation of £10 to participate which we very much appreciate and JP Morgan will match all donations, so please go ahead and help the work of Save the Children in Ethiopia:
