East London Chorus - Sing for Life - London Bridges Walk 2009 05 Jul 2009 I am again doing East London Chorus's Sing for Life sponsored walk, monies from which will be divided equally between Cancer Research UK and the choir.  As you know, I have been inspired to do the walk by my sister Madeleine's courageous and successful fight with cancer.  I now have more people close to me or connected to me who are living with cancer: Humphry my stepfather is living bravely with it and a colleague at work like Madeleine did times her chemo to have as little impact on her work as possible.  Sadly a friend down the road with a son Sarah's age died last year from it.  So I now have even more reasons to want to support Cancer Research UK.

Many of you will know how important East London Chorus also is to me.  I have now belonged to the choir for 30 years and it has kept me going through good times and bad!  Singing is an expensive activity so I am pleased to be able to raise money for the choir at the same time as Cancer Research.  East London Chorus has committed to raising funds for Cancer Research at our concerts so funds raised for the choir will also go indirectly to supporting Cancer Research in the future.
