Story

I can't begin to find the words to express my gratitude to all of you who have already kindly donated, and also to those of you who are about to do so.  This was the most wonderful experience.

It was a real test of endurance, both physically and mentally.  A total climb UP of 11, 178 feet 3407 metres.

The ascent to Scafel Pike in pitch black with just head torches.  So SCARY.   Temperatures of 30 Degrees at Ben Nevis on Saturday, and the same again on Sunday at Snowdon.  EXHAUSTING weather, but such amazing views from the mountains - we were so LUCKY.

With NO SLEEP in between mountains because everyone was so ANXIOUS.  Too nervous to eat anything substantial, except the two bacon butties made by the lovely Karen Moorehouse xx

AMAZING team spirit with record breaking times, beat my own personal target and felt fit enough to swim afterwards in the hotel pool.  Can't believe how GREAT I felt afterwards to be honest, must have been the adrenalin.  Truly AMAZING!

With heartfelt THANKS to the School PTA and our base camp co ordinator Jane Broadis.  We had the most BEAUTIFUL welcome party on our arrival back on Monday afternoon.  We were GREETED with banners and flags in the hot sunshine by the whole school.  It was truly a MOVING moment to be reunited with our children who we had sadly left behind on Friday evening before leaving for the 1200 mile trip.

a million trillion thanks once again.  Sue xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

In about 58 hours I will be getting ready  to attempt the 3 Peaks Challenge - climbing the three highest peaks in the UK, Ben Nevis, Scafel Pike and Snowdon in less than 24 hours.  National Three Peaks Challenge 14 hours of walking, 3407 metres of ascent, 10 hours of driving, 500 miles on the road between mountains and not much sleep - all in 24 hours! All in all it's a 12OOmile round trip from Chorleywood.  I am trying to raise some very much needed funds for our old local school which is in dire need of some repair/renewal and revamps.  We are very short of space and desperately would like to raise some serious cash to help fund a extension and other such exciting but costly projects.

There are more than 30 walkers, made up of Teachers, TAs, Parents, Family, Friends alike all coming together on this Challenging Fund Raisng Event.

Please give what ever you feel you can, every single penny will be much appreciated and wisely spent.  With love and thanks to you all.

Pray for me, I hear it is not for the feint hearted.  Suexxxxxx
