<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">Acorn&rsquo;s Children&rsquo;s Hospice provides support and care for children who are terminally ill and/or with life threatening disability / illness.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>There are three hospices around the Midlands serving 600 hundred children at any one time, with many more children needing the service.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Acorns, not only cares for the children but also for parents and siblings.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Having a very sick child is a frightening experience and caring for the child 24/7 is also very tiring and exhausting; parents desperately need the help and support Acorns provides.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>It costs &pound;450 a day to care for just one child.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">This is also a personal challenge for us; cycling 280 miles in six days in temperatures of around 35c with humidity at 80% will be very challenging, especially as one of us is a pensioner!</span></p> <p><strong>All sponsorship is appreciated, no matter how big or small so please feel free to donate as much or as little as you can.</strong></p> <p>Many thanks,</p> <p>Sue &amp; Jill</p>
