Every year, I give up something for Lent (the 46 days before Easter) to support the guys at Yeldall Manor who have to give up their addictions (drugs or alcohol) for life.
This year, I am being more traditional and giving up chocolate. Chocolate is not normally a huge problem for me (I am one of those annoying people who can open a box and not scoff the lot), but, this year, I don't seem to have stopped eating chocolate since Christmas, and Steve keeps buying more!
So no more chocolate bars, no chocolate biscuits, puddings or hot chocolate. And no replacing them with other sweet treats either!
In addition to that, I am giving up my consuming passion, Facebook, for Holy Week as well. For a week before Easter I will need to find something more benefecial to do with my time!
Please sponsor me in my challenge. It may be trivial, but it is raising funds for the vital work of rehabilitation. Even £2 makes a difference. At this time, when funding for residential rehabilitation is harder than ever to come by, your donation is really appreciated.
God bless you
