On 11-13 September I'm cycling the length of Cornwall, from Land's End to Bude, to raise money for Worth Unlimited (formerly dare2), a Christian charity that works with disadvantaged young people from some of our poorest inner city housing estates.  Worth uses outdoor pursuits as a learning environment to help these youngsters begin to value themselves and one another, raising their self esteem and showing them that they have do have worth unlimited.  Giving young people time and exciting, challenging activities helps them to develop life skills, self respect and respect for other people so that they learn co-operation and self control, much needed if they are to fulfil their potential in life.

The cycle ride will be a big challenge: 125 miles of very hilly lanes and some off-road tracks to be covered in two-and-a-half days!  It will be great to jump into the sea at Bude, fully dressed, of course!  There's a lot of hard pedalling to do before I've earned my swim...
