Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are walking from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for Support Dogs. This charity trains dogs to support people with a variety of disabilities. Specifically we are supporting their work with Seizure Alert dogs, which are trained to give up to 45 minutes warning of a seizure to people who suffer from epilepsy. No-one knows how the dogs do it, they only know that it works!

Sue's son Andy has suffered from epilepsy since he was 6 years old and despite taking loads of drugs it has never been controlled. He always lives in the knowledge that he could have a seizure at any time without warning; possibly with disastrous consequences, and especially so since his beautiful daughter was born. This summer Andy undertook training with Eddie, his trainee Seizure Alert dog. However, unfortunately Eddie didn't make the grade as a fully trained Seizure Alert dog and had to be withdrawn from service. Andy was devastated at this and the charity Support Dogs are desperately looking for another dog to replace Eddie. Once he has a replacement dog he will be able to do many of the things with his daughter that other fathers take for granted.

Support Dogs is a charity which receives no government funding and relies entirely on voluntary donations. Please give generously so that others like Andy have the chance to benefit from their fantastic work.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

It's a massive undertaking so please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks very much,

Sue and Julie
