As most of you will know we source and design all our jewellery in India, so it seem's only right to give something back to the community that helps our business. So during Alison's trips there she visited the SOS Children Village, where she was so impressed with the care that the 171 orphaned children get, and the happy safe environment they give. We have been sponsoring a little girl called Sukdha there for the last 4 years.
We are honoured to be sponsoring her through school, and we get regular updates on her progress. She is as bright as a button, a lovely kind spirit, and hope for the future.
The Village is made up of small family groups with a 'mother' who cares for them. They have a Nursery, Medical Centre, Community Programs which all need your support. Please give what you can, every penny donated supports the SOS families, or find out how rewarding it can be to sponsor a child yourselves for just £20 a month. During World Ophan Week 14th -20th Feb 2011 we will be holding special events at our shop, updates will be on Face Book.
