Story
Welcome to my page everyone!
This is my mother and I (at 3 months)... she gave me life and made me the successful person I am today.
She was diagnosed with diabetes over a decade ago; it’s the most understated disease that is often known as ‘the silent killer’. There are currently 3.8 million people in the UK with diabetes, including an estimated 850,000 people who have Type 2 diabetes but do not know it.
I’m running the British 10k London Run for her and millions of mums. I am raising money for the Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation. They help raise public awareness to the condition and its associated complications, treatment, avoidance and relief and to provide support to people living with diabetes – like my mother.
This is my first stint at human aid and fundraising; I humbly ask you to look into your purses and wallets and help this charity care and support more people until a cure is found.
I’m also inviting you on Sunday July 14th 2013 at 9.35am... I’d love to see you in the heart of central London along many of the capitals truly world class historic landmarks cheering me on!
