Story

Well helloooooo there! Thanks for stopping by and making a difference! :)

If you are here you probably know what this is all about so I won't bang on about it anymore, I will just remind you of what you have to do ;)

So, all I ask is that you sacrifice the cost of a coffee or a pint and nudge us a little closer to raising £1000 for these deserving kids. If everyone in my world donates just £3, we will be well past the £1000 mark. For those of you that are feeling generous, don't let me stop you donating more! ;) Any amount, large or small, is very welcome and greatly appreciated :)

If you are a UK taxpayer, please don't forget to tick the 'Gift Aid' box. Under the Gift Aid scheme, charities can reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

As mentioned in my emails and posts, all money raised goes to the Amani Children's Home in Tanzania. Check out the amazing work Valerie and Joe are doing at http://amanikids.org/. I can't wait to spend time with the kids during my volunteering stint with Amani in December.

Finally, I will leave you with some words from an Amani volunteer - I couldn't have articulated my thoughts better:

“Very occasionally in a lifetime you find yourself in the middle of something that you know is fundamentally
good, right and presses all the wholesome buttons in your character. You feel - in exactly the right ratio - anger that such lovely kids have endured the tragedies that have driven them onto the streets; shame that the world is largely indifferent; joy and pleasure to be in a position to do something; and, lastly, pride to be associated with the people who, hour by hour, day after day, year in and year out work tirelessly to give back to those kids the things they have lost. They receive security, food, health care, a home, an education and lots and lots of what they most need: love.”

Much, much love to all of you, thank you so much for donating and making a difference... you are all angels and the children of Amani Home thank you :) See you when I get back! ;)
