We have been asked a lot recently whether we have any plans to raise money for charity or whether we support a charity of any kind.  This opportunity has popped up and we thought it might be nice to dedicate a Sunday to baking for charity in the not too distant future. No different to any other week, except on this one, we will ask that you request donations for your slices of yummy cake and you post your collected money to this special Sunday Baking Club JustGiving page. If you’re feeling REALLY brave, maybe you can host your own tea party or bake sale to raise money for the cause...

The charity is a very worthy one – it’s the Robbie The Robot Appeal for the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Robbie is a robot which undertakes prostate cancer operations. The hospital acquired the equipment with a down payment from a very generous donation, but to complete the purchase and own ‘Robbie’ outright they need to raise £1m over three years.
