Story
Naveen, Ashok and Parimala all of 12 years old from one of Dream A Dream's 10 Partner schools recently participated in a 3-day Life Skills Development Outdoor experience. 3-days that transformed their thinking from submission to empowerment where through group activities, experiential learning, art, theatre, recreation and games -they learnt more about themselves, learnt to work with and support each other, learnt to speak up and share their ideas and most importantly discovered themselves.
Through Sports, Creative Arts, Computer Education, Mentoring and Outdoor Experiences - Dream A Dream brings high-impact life skills development programs to over 2200 children from Bangalore's urban slum communities.
As Ashok beautifully put it, "These programs have helped me discover myself and given me the skills to take on life's challenges."
However, this is just the tip of the ice-berg, Over the next 3 years Dream A Dream is committed to take this work to over 2,40,000 children. We cannot do this alone. We need YOUR Support to make this a reality.
On 23rd May 2010, over 100 volunteers and team members will be running to raise over 20,000 GBP for Dream A Dream to help us expand our reach to thousands more children.
