Thanks for visiting our Big Walk 2018 JustGiving page. 

We're going to try to complete a Marathon distance, 26.2 miles on 22 June, much further than we've ever walked in a single day!

This cause makes us feel hopeful about the future and the ways in which advances in medical technologies can continue to support and enable people to live well - locally and beyond!

The University has a £2 million target for a new scanner - a ground-breaking MRI-PET scanner for research into cancer, Alzheimer's, heart disease, diabetes, and many other areas. It's going to make a huge difference to people's lives.

Fortunately, we don't have to raise the full £2 million this time around! There have been many teams and individuals supporting appeals and the total is already over half-way. Please support the Big Walk 2018 and help us reach that final goal.
