<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>Lloyds Banking Group Charity of the Year, Save the Children, has challenged 33 of Lloyds Banking Group's bravest employees to trek to Everest Base Camp in June to raise &pound;140,000 for&nbsp;Save the Children's&nbsp;work with the UK&rsquo;s most vulnerable children.&nbsp; I have been lucky enough to secure one of the places!</p> <p>The Everest Base Camp trek is probably one of the most famous in the world, and one that every keen trekker should consider doing at some point in their lives.&nbsp; It is without doubt one of the more challenging treks to take on, but the sense of achievement&nbsp;that I hope to experience as we arrive at the Base Camp&nbsp;will be&nbsp;hard to equal.</p> <p>Each team member needs to raise a minimum of &pound;4,000 which will contribute to an overall challenge target of &pound;140,000.&nbsp; This will fund at least four Families and Schools Together programmes (FAST) supporting vulnerable children and ensuring they are given a fair start in life and a chance to fulfil their potential.</p> <p>To watch a short film on the work we're supporting, click here: <a href="http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/en/fast.htm">http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/en/fast.htm</a></p> <p>On behalf of both the group and Save the Children, thank you so much for any support you're able to give!</p>
