Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Lloyds Banking Group Charity of the Year, Save the Children, has challenged 33 of Lloyds Banking Group's bravest employees to trek to Everest Base Camp in June to raise £140,000 for Save the Children's work with the UK’s most vulnerable children.  I have been lucky enough to secure one of the places!

The Everest Base Camp trek is probably one of the most famous in the world, and one that every keen trekker should consider doing at some point in their lives.  It is without doubt one of the more challenging treks to take on, but the sense of achievement that I hope to experience as we arrive at the Base Camp will be hard to equal.

Each team member needs to raise a minimum of £4,000 which will contribute to an overall challenge target of £140,000.  This will fund at least four Families and Schools Together programmes (FAST) supporting vulnerable children and ensuring they are given a fair start in life and a chance to fulfil their potential.

On behalf of both the group and Save the Children, thank you so much for any support you're able to give!
