Story

Having been given a pair of very cool retro roller skates by Nige for our anniversary - I have progressed from being totally rubbish at skating and hardly being able to move to being able to skate around the rink without holding on to the side! I haven't managed to compete with Nige in skating backwards or doing impressive tricks but hopefully I should be able to now do between 70-100 laps.

The event is taking place at Rollerworld Derby on 4th March between 5.30-8.30pm and there are hopefully going to be about 70 people skating. We are hoping to raise lots of money for Family Care.

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far ! :)

Thanks to everyone who supported us in sponsorship and on the day itself. We've raised just over £2000 altogether which is brilliant. If you want to read about the event Poppy has written something about it which you can find on the Family Care website homepage. It's called 'Getting our skates on for Family Care'
