My Niece Harriet is 7, nearly 8 years old, yet she can not talk, walk, ride a bike or care for herself. She has Rett syndrome which shortens her life with us. On good days she can laugh, make sounds to indicate you what she would like or not like. On bad days she has seizure after seizure, she has anxiety attacks she is not able to sit up or even smile.
