Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Founded in 1974, by growing our register of stem cell donors, conducting research and supporting patients, Anthony Nolan cures blood cancer and blood disorders. But we need to do more. Without you, there is no cure.

Story

Following the recent death of a school friend, Georgina Hirst, at the early age of 26 and in memory of my brother Malcom who died in 2012, both from Leukaemia, our daughter Victoria, has decided to tackle the Chiltern Challenge to raise money for Anthony Nolan.

The 100km Chiltern Challenge (27th-28th July) can be walked or run. Our son and daughter and friends are starting at 7am and hope to complete the 100km in ~24 hours! Charles and I will attempt a shorter distance.

Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
