At the tender age of 55 i have been lured into doing a sprint triathlon with 2 of my daughter at Salford Quays on Sunday 18th August. The event consists of a 750metre swim in the Quay followed by a 20km cycle (during which i have to do my best to pass Old Trafford 3 times without spitting) and then finish off with a 5km run.

As i plan to make this a one-off i thought i may aswel try to raise some funds for Help for Heroes. A charity that is close to my heart with having a daughter who is a serving soldier we have seen the effect the great work of H4H has had on my daughters friends and colleague's who have unfortunately been injured out in Iraq and Afghanistan.
