Well, here we are again. Another April, another London Marathon. This really is getting to be a bad habit.

Sadly, the charity I usually run for, Free Spirit,  has had to close because of insurance problems (nothing to do with my marathons!). So this year, I'm running in honour of the love of my life - no, not my husband, my dog Gordon.

Gordon is very famous, so most of you will know him or know of him. He's the handsome greyhound that we adopted from Dogs Trust 2 years ago and who now runs our life.

As Gordon is incredibly lazy and can only manage a 500 yard sprint, he's persuaded me (as only a dog can) to run this year's Flora London Marathon to support the fantastic work done by Dogs Trust. They care for many dogs like Gordon that are abandoned, mistreated or who just find themselves homeless for whatever reason.

Dogs Trust will never destroy a healthy dog and consequently they have a lot of Gordon's mates to look after. So they need you to be generous in your support of this insane woman's attempt at yet another 26.2 miles.
