Mary’s Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. The charity now feeds more than three million children every school day and it costs just £19.15/€22.00 to feed a child for a year.

Story

I must be mad!  Another marathon.  But, it has been 6 years and I have almost forgotten how hard the last one was!  This is DEFINITELY the last one.  I've promised Richard.

I'm lucky enough to be a member of the fantastic Perth Road Runners club.  I managed to get my place in this year's London marathon thanks to them and I am very grateful for that.

I don't have to raise any money but I'd like to.  The girls at my school have been supporting the charity Mary's Meals throughout this school year and they have done a variety of activities to raise funds, including publishing a brilliant soup cook book.  We've had Martha's (of school food bloggery 'Never Seconds' fame) grandad into school to tell us how the money she raised has been used to help children in Malawi.  These things together have inspired me to try to raise as much as I can to help this charity too.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Any donation, large or small, is brilliant.  Thank you!
