Although John has been diagnosed late as family members and friends we hope that if detection rates are significantly improved and treatments are improved less families in the future will have to go through what we are going through now. It is times like these when your true friends come to the forefront and when my dear friend Lucy suggested running the Dublin Marathon on Monday October 31 2011 for Pancreatic Cancer UK, I said yes. We may be a little short in mileage preparation, but we will make it over the finish line as our pain on that day is a small price to pay for raising money for much needed research into this terrible disease.

Thank you for your support.
