Story

I'm sure you're all aware of what's going on in Syria and have seen images of the dead and injured. It is truly heartbreaking, and even though there are other pages to raise money for Syria, I feel it is my duty to contribute and for that reason, I've set up this page in order to maximise the amount of money we raise.

The situation in Syria is severe and getting worse each day. The Syrian people are calling out for our help, and it is our duty to help them in any way we can, even if it means giving up a meal out for one day to help them. They need that money more than we need that meal.

Thousands of civilians have been killed in clashes and violence in troubled Syria since the unrest began. Thousands of people, men, women and children, have been fleeing the country, leaving behind their home and belongings, to find safety at refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon. At Al-Ramtha and Al-Mafraq in Jordan (close to the Syrian border), over 2,500 refugee families have little in the way of comfort, protection, and regular food.

I'm raising money for Human Relief Foundation, which is one of the major UK charities authorised to provide emergency aid and assistance in Jordan and is also working to relieve the situation for Syrian refugees in Lebanon. The HRF team has been working over the past few months, providing shelter packs to desperate families and individuals, including blankets, heaters, food parcels and toys for children. A mobile clinic has also been set up in partnership with local agencies.

They urgently need your donations and efforts to help us deliver aid now and in the future in Syria. Make a donation now.

Remember, sadaqah will not decrease your wealth in any way:

Abu Hurairah (r.a) reported Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.s) as saying: "Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people)." (Muslim Vol 4, Hadith 4264)

Giving charity will benefit you in the akhra inshallah:

The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s) said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 604
