Story

I was offered the chance to take part in this insane challenge of Tough Mudder - Probably the toughest event on the planet.

The event is on 12th May 2012 and information can be found here http://toughmudder.co.uk/events/south-eastmidlands/

http://toughmudder.co.uk/

Tough Mudder events are hardcore 12 mile-long obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. With the most innovative courses and half a million inspiring participants, Tough Mudder is the premier adventure challenge series in the world.

The charity that I am running this for is Special Kids in the UK. They are a huge support network for families of children with any special needs or disability.

Special Kids in the UK has been a lifeline for my family over the past 5 years due to 2 out of my 3 children having disabilities. They have been there to support me when I have been at my lowest point & they have been there to help me celebrate when my boys have made great achievements.

Taking part in Tough Mudder wil be one of the biggest challenges that I will ever take in my life. I'm prepared to do this to raise as much money as possible for Special Kids. Please show your support for myself & the rest of the team from Blaze Martial Arts, as we are going to need it.

I'm also doing this in memory of a friend's son Ben who passed away recently aged 11. My aim is to raise awareness of the condition Neimann-Pick type C.
