My story
Hi - Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!
After 4 years I have forgotten the pain of my last London marathon and so have signed up to have another go ! I was fortunate enough to recieve a ballot place so don't have to raise a specific target but thought I would take this opportunity to raise the profile of a local charity "Footsteps" that does some fantastic work in Kenya.
The Tumaini schools provide a high standard of education for over five hundred children from the deprived area of Timbwani near Mombasa.Just £16 a month covers everything the child needs at school: uniform, lunch, text books and stationery. Sponsors receive regular photographs and school reports. We have sponsored one of their children for the last 3 years and my girls love receiving her letters and school reports. Footsteps is a Christian Charity which focuses on caring for children in need, supports education and training and fights poverty and disability. Working with trusted partners in Kenya we run the Tumaini orphanage, Sunshine Home for street boys, skills training, school fees and feeding programmes.
