Story

Thanks for visiting the Swindon and District Wargames Club 24 Hour Challenge team fundraising page.

On 29th and 30th October 2016, the members of SAD Wargames will be running a marathon 24 hour gaming session in support of 'Combat Stress'.

Combat Stress

Many members of our club are ex-service personel and are very much the lucky ones. They have a great group of supportive friends and a hobby that they love.

Some members of the armed services aren't so lucky. They leave the services with scars few others can recognise or understand and find themselves very much alone.

Combat Stress works to help those who have fallen, not in battle, but in the aftermath. They seek to provide counselling and support for those with PTSD to allow them to lead the happy, healthy lives most of us take for granted.

The Day

Saturday 29th/ Sunday 30th October

  • Challenge starts at 9am.
  • Doors open to public at 10am Saturday.
  • Painting competitions.
  • Midnight Wargames quiz.

And yes, we're also doing this on the day the clocks change, so it'll actually be 25 hours courtesy of day light saving time!
