Story

Hi there thank you so much for visiting my page,

The news tells us about refugees; people that have fled because they are under attack. What's important to understand is that no one flees if they don't have to, there is nothing appealing about living in an area called the 'jungle' on the outskirts of France (Calais).

There are an estimated 3500 inhabitants (msf stat) camped out in primitive conditions. Those staying here have no access to housing and other types of support and this is why they reside in the camps.
The money that you donate will go directly to Human relief foundation who will then purchase food, water and accommodation, as well as building communal kitchens and portable shower units for increased hygiene and thus less spread of infection.

We often use the phrase  'I'm starving' but I don't think we really know what that means because we more or less know where our next meal is coming from, and rarely do we go a day without food. We don't suffer from lack of food but it is a very real threat to migrants who also have to cope with the injustices of having to flee from their homes (which are both physically and mentally harrowing).
