My story

Imagine you are in hospital.......possibly for a long time.......there is little to distract except pain from the boredom  routine....... What if someone came to play or sing?.......Wouldn't that be great?

Music in Hospitals arrange at least 1600 concerts in Scottish hospitals, hospices, care homes and day care centres each year by talented professional musicians.

Update: I have just cycled in the Tour de Grouse again, the sixth and this time through the Borders on June 5th.  After a fantastically encouraging response to emails sent out less than a week prior to the event, I have chosen now to raise the bar, seeking instead to raise £1,000 for Music in Hospitals.  I completed the 123 mile course with a bit extra for good measure. Going up the route from Talla Reservoir was, however too puniching and I confess to having got off for a wee push!

If you have not already, here is a wee push to you to consider supporting Music in Hospitals. The live music brings enormous enjoyment and therapeutic benefit and is probably always a highlight on the ward - talked about for weeks.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
