Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
“We did it” After a very long day Susie Calum and I completed all ten Munros in 13hrs. It took us another two hours to get back to the car park making a 15hr day with a total distance of 48.6km. The weather was not good, typical Scottish summer wet and windy (a lot of the wind from Calum). Susie did so well considering she walked twice the distance we did (chasing the odd rabbit); the poor girl was quite tired at the end of the day. There were times when it truly was a struggle to keep walking but just knowing the donations will help someone kept us all going. I have uploaded the first batch of photos as we are limited to the total image sizes. We also made lots of videos but with the wind it is very hard to hear the commentary....probably a good thing as Susie was using bad language at one point. We hope to have some videos up on the site later in the week. Again many thanks for your support and donations.
The challenge: Please sponsor me to raise money for a fantastic charity. My dog Susie and I along with my friend Calum Waddel (through popular request from Aidan) intend to walk/climb or limp TEN Munros (Scottish mountains over 3000ft) in 16hrs mid July 2010. The walk will start and end at Glen Doll car park walking the following mountains in between: Dreish, Mayer, Tom Buidhe, Cairn of Clasie, Tolmount, Carn an Sagirt Mor,Cac Carn Beag, Carn a Choire Bhoidheach, Cairn Bannoch and lastly Broad Cairn....then a cold beer for Susie and new feet for Calum and I. We intend to record a video or photo on the top of each Munro these will either make you laugh or cry ….probably mostly cry but hopefully they will also encourage you to donate.
