Story
Salaam guys!
As some of you may be aware, the humanitarian crisis that has been unfolding in Somalia has rapidly deteriorated with many families living well below the poverty line and struggling to find the source of their next meal.
Approximately half of the children under the age of 5 are malnourished, totaling a staggering 1.25 million infants in need of some form of humanitarian aid and intervention. With these numbers set to drastically rise over the following few months, your support could make a huge difference to the lives of many.
Which brings you to our story; a group of Somali British medics and engineers with a strong desire and burning longing to help alleviate the conditions of many in our country of origin.
On the 17th of November we will be taking the initiative to go on a sponsored trek in Wales in order to raise sufficient funds to help with the aid relief programmes on the ground.
Whatever you can donate, please do so and don't think of it as an insignificant amount. It will make a genuine difference to those in need. Just to finish, an ayah reminding us of the rewards of charity:
"...Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it." (2:215)
Jazakallahu khayr
